Burning Man 2009

Burning Man is an annual event held in the Black Rock Desert, in Northern Nevada. It takes its name from the ritual burning of a large wooden effigy on Saturday evening. The event is described by many participants as an experiment in community, artwork, absurdity, decommodification radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance.
Each year, the event takes place from the last Monday in August until Labor Day, the first Monday in September. This year more than 43,000 participants took part in this two week event.

BM is organized by con artists who rip off art from people. I know. They did it to me. Still haven’t seen dime one from these thieves.

Your story smell of bullshit. I’ve been going to BM for 12 *years* and never had a thing stolen. Anyone who knows the event, knows that *NOTHING* is bought and sold as it is a gift economy. Attending has inspired me to build large scale art, funding every project myself. If you expected to get paid for something, you truly don’t get what BM is about.
The burning man has gotten more and more expensive over the years but the Vanabode system helps you get in and stay cheap very easily long term. I love this place
